Tewkesbury Borough Council's waste collection service will be normal service over the Christmas holiday.Tewkesbury Borough Council's waste collection service will be "Business as usual" over the Christmas holiday. Both wheeled bins and recycling boxes will be emptied on the normal collection day. The Council asks for bins and boxes to be out by 7am as usual.
Councillor Mike Sztymiak, Chairman of the Environment Committee says "I am delighted that there will be no disruption of the service to all our customers at this very busy time of year. We have a fantastic workforce and it was their decision to work as usual including the Monday after New Year."
Chris Pike, Head of Commercial Services, says "It is important to get your bins and boxes out early and please recycle all your bottles, cans and newsprint. Look out for our Christmas tree recycling centres after the New Year. It's a great time of year to recycle."
The Council Offices will be closed until 4th January and it won't be possible to report bins that have been missed during this period.
