Tewkesbury town centre - air quality update
Tewkesbury Borough Council declared Tewkesbury town centre an 'air quality management area' after it was revealed that air quality in a number of small areas does not meet national objectives set by the Environment Act 1995.The council is now working with Gloucestershire County Council, Tewkesbury Town Council, businesses and residents' groups to assess the area - and four improvement models have now been unveiled.
The county council employed the PARAMICS system which used real traffic data to model which outcome might provide the best result.
