  • What is the Healthy Community Challenge Fund?
Tewkesbury is one of only 9 towns across the country that has been successful in bidding to be part of this exciting Government led project. The other towns are: Portsmouth, Manchester, Sheffield, Tower Hamlets, Halifax, Dudley, Middlesbrough and Thetford.
  • Equalities and Diversity
The Council has approved the following schemes and policies - Disability Equality Scheme, Gender Equality Scheme, Race Equality Scheme, Age Equality Policy, Religion or Belief Equality Policy, Sexual Orientation Equality Policy and are fully committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all. The Action Plans contained within the documents will be updated regularly, particularly in light of Equality Impact Assessments and any actions arising from these.
  • BT Consultation
Following BT's second consultation on the removal of a number of public payphones within the Borough, the Council has received 11 objections from the parishes affected. All the objections received have been forwarded to BT and have also been reviewed in conjunction with additional information on the factors we have been asked to consider. The decision notice is available to review on the attached link.
  • Count Me In - What's it all about?
The project is about making Tewkesbury a healthier place to live and to encourage all ages to take part in a healthy lifestyle change. The Government funded scheme is one of nine in England to be awarded Healthy Town Status.
  • What is the Tewkesbury Town Centre master plan?
If you are not aware, this recently launched programme was given a boost in winning funding support from DEFRA - Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs under the rural masterplanning fund. This is in the form of enabler support (or expert advice) from CABE - the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment
